htc
hi
can anyone help me to draw htc for channel in cfx result>chart??? |
I'm not sure what you want. Your question isn't clear. Please read the FAQ.
If you're using CFD post usually you can insert a new line at the region of interest. Then plot a graph of heat transfer coefficient and distance. |
I did the same thing as you said
Insert a line and define it as a location in cfx chart X Axis>x or lenght of channel Y axis> wall htc But after apply these changes i can't see any graph. The chart is empty Can you please help me?? |
Post some images. I don't know what you're trying to simulate. Just saying that you're simulating a channel is not enough information.

a channel with a blade at inlet & wall temp:400k & fluid flow temp=293
i need the distribution of htc along the channel lenght http://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/ZvK http://www.imageupload.co.uk/image/Zrb |
Do you want wall HTC or wall external HTC? There's a difference.
Also, can you colour your boundary wall according to the wall HTC (or wall external HTC). Your first image doesn't work. And I still don't understand what you're trying to do. If you want help then take your time to provide us with all the necessary information, supported by images. |

Also, for your HTC values to be correct, you need set the correct reference temperature as an expert parameter in Pre ('tbulk for htc') before your simulation started. Otherwise it will take the near wall temperature, which is probably not what you want. |
