Hi,
Is there a way to recover a mesh from CFX? Stupidly I've lost the original mesh file after it was read by CFX-Pre. So I have the mesh in CFX-Pre, which is fine. But I don't have the actual mesh file. Is there a way to extract the mesh from CFX-Pre? Thanks |

What do you need it for? ICEM will read in a cfx mesh just fine. I think you can do this in FE modeler also (in wb) but I dont have experience with that.

I'm not sure what you mean. I have .cfx and .def files. But I don't have a mesh file for later editing, because I accidentally deleted it.
Is there a way to extract the mesh from the .cfx or .def files? |

How are you editing it? If you are using ICEM, ICEM will read in a def mesh just fine. There will be no underlying geometry associated with it, but you can generate that with mesh to facet tools. You can also manipulate and do any other things with it.
As far as WB only solution, I think you can do the same type of things with FE modeler. |
