Tips and tricks

Hi ,

It's not a real problem, but maybe someone can help me saving time :)

In CFX when you have 2 domain, for example DomainA and DomainB, interface is automatically named " Default Interfaces" and inside domains you read " Default Interface Side 1" and " ... Side 2"

Does anyone know if is It possible to tell CFX to automatically name interfaces something like " Int DomainA_DomainB " ?

This could be very time saving, especially if you have a lot of domains

Thanks and have a nice day

You can set up interfaces in workbench and automatically name like you suggest (I think). The names then carry through to CFX-Pre.

Hi Glenn,

Yes, I think using WB could be a way. Unfortunately I work in stand-alone version of CFX. I usually rename all interfaces manually, but my question was if exists a quiker way to use, for example, domains names as default.... maybe I can edit some file in installation directory...

This is just curiosity :D

I strongly doubt that is possible. If you are really keen to do this you could write a session file with some perl script which extracts the domain names and renames the interfaces accordingly.

Or you could submit it to ANSYS as a feature request.
