Dear all,
I am trying to model fluid flow in a tube using CFX-Workbench Remeshing. I got the following error at the begging of remeshing process; +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ An error has occurred in cfx5solve: C:\Program does not exist +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ An error has occurred in cfx5solve: MeshMod: Call to user defined mesh modifications failed. could not be started: Executable C:\Program not found. +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ An error has occurred in cfx5solve: Remeshing: Failed to modify mesh for remesh object +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ An error has occurred in cfx5solve: Remeshing failed. +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ Here is my remeshing settings: Interruption Control: minVal(Orthogonality Angle Minimum )@Artery<10 [deg] External Command: C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v145\Framework\bin\Win64\runwb2.bat" -B -R "E:\Model\Bridge Test With Remeshing\WB_Remesh.wbjn" Replacement File: E:\Model\Bridge Test With Remeshing\Bridge T Remeshing_files\dp0\global\MECH\SYS.mshdb Could anybody help me to find out why I got the above error at the beginning of the remeshing process. Thanks AshtonJ |

This is most certainly due to the space between Program and Files in the path to the executable.

Thanks Lance.
I ran it in C and E drives, however I got the same error! In this case, where you suggest to run the simulation? |

Try the A, B or D drive! (that was a joke...)
The path to some of your files contain a space, e.g. 'Program Files' and 'Bridge Test With Remeshing'. Add " before and after the paths and see if that solves your problem. |

Dear Lance,
As suggested, I have tried the following path format, but I am still getting the same error at the beginning of the remeshing. 1. "C:\"Program Files"\"ANSYS Inc"\v145\Framework\bin\Win64\runwb2.bat"-B-R"E:\Model\"Bridge Test With Remeshing"\WB_Remesh.wbjn" 2. "\"C:\"Program Files"\"ANSYS Inc"\v145\Framework\bin\Win64\runwb2.bat\""-B-R"E:\Model\"Bridge Test With Remeshing"\WB_Remesh.wbjn" 3. @"""C:\"Program Files"\"ANSYS Inc"\v145\Framework\bin\Win64\runwb2.bat"""-B-R"E:\Model\"Bridge Test With Remeshing"\WB_Remesh.wbjn" Do you have any idea what the problem is? Thanks |

All of your attempts have used the wrong format. The easiest way of getting the correct format is to fire up a command window and use the tab file completion gizmo to get the file names right. When I do that I get the command line to be (with a guess for your personal files):
"c:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v145\Framework\bin\Win64\runwb2.bat" -b -R "E:\Model\Bridge Test With Remeshing\WB_Remesh.wbjn" |

Dears,
I just started to work with remesh so I looked for a ready configuration and I found this one: http://cae-club.ru/files/remesh61214 I was working with this on Ansys V16.2 and I was sucesfull in remesh it when I changed the total time from 1[s] to 3[s] and changed the directory name of External Command. It stoped the cfx solver and executed the meshing and returned to cfx without problems But after the update to V17.1 the same simulation, with the directory name corrected from v162 to v171 fails . Any idea about what could be the problem? |
