Hello,

Over the past weeks, I have made decent meshes for different airfoils using ICEM and the simulations have been yielding good results (compared to experimental values). Up until now I have been manually changing the velocity components of the inlet flow to change the angle of attack which is rather time consuming. I now have to repeat this process many times for many different airfoils, and I was wondering if there were more efficient ways to go about this.

I can think of some ways but I do not know if they are possible in ANSYS CFX

-run one transient simulation where the angle of attach varies and record the forces on the airfoil at defined angles.

-predefine all the velocities (like as txt file) and have ANSYS read in the velocities (kind of like a script file) and simulate all velocities in one run

If anyone has any experience in this area, I would greatly appreciate your advice and comments.

Thank you.

You can do this in workbench using parameters. Alternately you can also do this with different CCL files and script them all together.

Hi Sir

Hope so you will be fine and good.

Sir i have a question regarding thrust of a propeller.

Why Thrust of a propeller decreases with increase in Advanve Ratio???

Similarly Torque of Propeller ???

only propeller thrust and torque without engine.
Thanks

Looking Forward
