Hello everyone
this is a video of a simulation i did , its a flow through rotating butterfly valve disc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oG_...&feature=share
the probleme is that i was to plot the torque data but i didn't manage to; if anyone could please help me ; the torque i want to plot is the hydrodynamic torque on the video .
regards

The best way is to put a monitor point (set to the expression torquex/y/z()@valve) in at CFX-Pre and rerun the simulation. Then you get the torque history at full resolution.

But if you do not want to rerun the simulation you have the extract it from the post processor. Use the function calculator in CFD-Post to calculate the torque. Do this for all time steps you saved results files with enough data to generate the force information.

thnx a lot , i found a solution my self , its simple , insert new chart , XY transient or sequence , but u need to define variables of the data u want to plot , in my case torque and pressure plot , it took some time to generate the data files and to use them but it was worth the trouble , thnx

Hello Professionals,
i am simulating a chinese windmill with several sails (as you can see in the picture i attached, flow direction is y). I am doing a mesh indipendence study and want to compare the torque of every sail in different cases. I use the calculator to calculate the torque. It takes a lot of time to use the calculator one by one by clicking with the mouse on the buttons. I want to calculate the torque of all sails about the z axis by one. how can i create a output like that?

You could define all the blades as a single wall boundary and then a single call of torque() would get the total number.

Or you could define a CEL variable:
TotalTorque = torque()@blade1+torque()@blade2+....+torque()@blad e[n]
either in CFD-Post or as a monitor point during solving.

Or in CFD-Post you could define a surface group which includes all the blades and use the function calculator to calculate the torque of the whole group.
