Scaling down to mm

I have created my model in ICEM CFD (in mm) (approx. 30mm x 30mm x30 mm) and uploaded in CFX Pre.

Now for some reason, it shows approx as 30m x 30m x 30m. I have changed the units to mm. But it still shows me as 3.00 e+004 mm.

How can I scale it down again back to my actual dimensions?

Thanks :)

Hi,

Have you set the default units to (mm) in ICEM somehow? I haven't used ICEM in a while so I'm not sure if that's possible. If not you might have to set up your model/mesh appropriately (i.e. 0.03 m x 0.03 m x 0.03 m). I used to create my models in (m) then import to ICEM and mesh in (m) then export to CFX. When exporting to CFX, a toolbox would pop up and allow me to scale the x-, y- and z-coordinates of the mesh. So if I wanted to go from (m) to (mm) I would set the scale factor to 0.001 in each box.

Good luck,
Dave
