Hi everyone, I wrote a RGP file generator in Python.
There is a example.rgp file in CFX document 12.7.1 Organization of an .rgp file.
It use r134a as fluid, I have compared the data in the example.rgp file and the file generated by my code. There are some differences, but I can not find out what's wrong with my code. So i can provide you rgp files for many fluids in NIST DATABASE, I hope you can validate the file and tell me your result.

My mistake, The folder is only 5MB. I had a helium .rgp table in there which was very large. the program itself is much smaller. That said, I can't email .exe files, as mist email servers don't allow this for security reasons.

Sounds like you have the same one from ANSYS. I found it searching their customer portal.

Yes, I have NISTtoRGP from ANSYS.
But it does not have good interpolation for continuous property change near saturation line.
I want some rgp generator with good continuous property change near saturation line.
Thanks for your help.

Does it help if you increase the table size, not the bounds, but the number of points) to include more data points? Or is that not the issue?

I do have another rgp generator, (RGPgenerator.F90)

I could never get it to work, so I switched to using the one from ANSYS.

I can send it to you if you wanted to try it out.

I believe it is set up for CO2, and will work if a few lines in the program are changed (or perhaps easier, the .fld file name you want to use is changed to "CO2.fld")

Here is the README file from the 11MB one:

RGP Generator
=============

This program was developed to generate custom step size RGP files using the NIST fluid properties.

Included Files
--------------
fluids(folder) - Includes REFPROP fluids needed for generating the rgp file
Source Code(folder) - Includes the source code for the program (within RGPgenerator.F90, the rest are REFPROP subroutines, and RGP_Generator.prj is the simple fortran project file)
CFX Solver Guide.pdf - ANSYS CFX Documentation which was useful when formatting the RGP gen output file (See section 12.6)
RGP_Generator64.exe - 64 Bit version of the program
RGP_Generator32.exe - 32 Bit version of the program
README.txt

How to use
-----------
1) Open either the 32 or 64 bit version of RGP_Generator.exe
2) Follow the steps to generate the output file
3) Upload the RGP file to ANSYS CFX

Licence
=======

It would be nice, if you can send me this RGP generator.
Since, my work is completely based on RGP table, I will try with that.
Please compress folder and send it to aero.senthilkumar@gmail.com

Thanks and regards,
Senthilkumar R

You can't email an .exe file. Even in a zipped folder. You will have to direct me to some shared folder: dropbox, google drive, etc.

If you want to use the resulting RGP file for simulation on Ansys CFX/Fluent, you can do that directly from an Ansys installation.

Contact Ansys support and request information on creating RGP from NIST/REFPROP database. There is a tool for it already.

Dear sir, do you happen to still have the RGP Generator? If you do, could you kindly share it with me to my dropbox/google drive: tegarzuldhian@gmail.com.

Or if anyone else had already managed to attain the file, please kindly share to the designated email. Thanks in advanced

You are better off using the latest version of the RGP generator than an older one. There have been changes to it over the years.
