Good day all

I am new to this forum and Ansys.

I did a transient rotor stator analysis on a impeller, and I used the global y axis as the rotational axis, my direction of rotation is in the negative y direction (according to the right hand rule).However when I look at the results the rotating direction is the other way around.

I did all the tutorials, but still don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Opaque will become famous soon enough
If you plot the "Rotational Velocity" vectors, are they pointing in the expected direction ? This vector is "Omega x R" as interpreted by the ANSYS CFX Solver; therefore, you can see if there is a setup issue.

Thank you for your reply.

I am now more confused. Somehow the rotational direction for the impeller and water is different.

Can you explain this?

I have no experience in this, but are you using the same coordinate system for both? I can see that causing this discrepancy.
