Force and coordinates
 

I'm trying to find the lift force of over a wing section. when i use the CFX post and export the normal force to an an excel format to graph it get up to 1500 data points with a force and the cosponsoring x,y,z components. I'm a little confused on how to interpret this. I would just like to get the net normal force in the y (up) direction. this seems to appear on the CFX solver when i add an additional monitor and choose the appropriate option. But i cant seem to find this data in the cfx post. I'm sure this is a simple solution, just not sure what it is.

You can get the 3 components of the net force on the airfoil_wall by using: force_x()@airfoil_wall , force_y()@airfoil_wall and force_z()@airfoil_wall.

Then, you can project it on any direction you want.
