Hi all,

I'm having a bit of difficulty determining at what time in my transient analysis my solid experiences its maximum displacement. I can only manage to use the function calculator to find values within the selected timestep and would appreciate any advice that would help me out. I've tried making a chart and failed at that, too. :/

Thank you!

I would use a monitor point to output the displacement, then look at the output in solver manager. The time at which maximum displacement occurs should be obvious.

Thanks. I guess I'll do it that way. I was looking for a method not involving re-running this analysis as it takes >24hrs.

Create a Point in Post located at max value of displacement. Time plot the value of Mesh displacement on a Post Chart. Look for the peak value....
