Initial Condition

Hi everybody;
I want to simulate a free surface flow (transient) in CFX.
I have to set fluid elevation as Initial Condition.
The model is a reservoir that has an initial volume of water. The elevation of water surface is 2 meters. I really need your help.
What should I do?

Thanks, Mojtaba

Have you tried the CFX tutorials? The free surface flow over a bump tutorial looks relevant here.

Yes I did it, but my problem has not solved yet! :confused: My question is about fluid elevation in initial condition, but it isn't mentioned in the tutorial.

You can set initial conditions with simple commands like setting the initial liquid volume fraction to:

step((2[m]-y)/1[m])

and the gas volume fraction to automatic.
