Hi
Does anyone know how i select the refrigerant r134a as the working fluid? also does anyone have RGP tables for other refrigerants? Ed |

Please go to "Fluids Edite" creating new material.

Ed,
Open the materials selector. Hit the little "open folder" box on the right side. Load up the file "MATERIALS-redkw.ccl". r134a is one of the materials in that file. Ask your support person if you need a pressure and temperature range for r134a that the RGP table does not cover. Refrigerant RGP tables in CFX-5 are also available if you purchase a copy of REFPROP from NIST. If you do that then you can call your support rep and they will gladly supply you with whatever RGP table you need for any refrigerant in the REFPROP library. You can also, if you like, generate your own RGP file if you decide on an equation of state, constituitive relationship and saturation curve data. The format of the file is documented in the Real Fluids section of the solver modelling documentation. Neale |

hello,Neale
i have NIST RefProp program and now i want to use CFX to simulate supercritical CO2 so i need to import a real CO2 properity to create a new material but i can't generate a RGP file by RefProp how did you do that? |
