No heat transfer through domain interface

My current problem is that i can't simulate heat transfer between different domains. It would seem that no heat goes through common domain interfaces. Conservative heat flux is enabled without interface model. I have already tried with various simple geometries, materials and boundary conditions. I was wondering why is it not working. Could it be an option that i have missed or a meshing issue?

Thank you in advance!

Edit: After a little tinkering i managed to get heat transfer between two solid domains. I recreated geometry, but this time both domains where frozen. I'm not sure why but that seems to do the trick. Unfortunately, that is not the case between solid and fluid domains...

Under the "interfaces" heading on the Tree in CFX Pre, did you check the "heat transfer" box? Interfaces is right underneath all your domains on the tree on the left. Sounds like that is almost certainly your problem.

As i have already mentioned, i did use the heat transfer option (Domain interface->Default fluid-solid interface->Additional interface models->Heat transfer/conservative interface flux-interface model/none). Also, both in fluid and solid domains i enabled heat transfer (fluid/solid models->Heat transfer->Thermal energy). Could it be that the interface needs special treatment during meshing? I ran out of ideas, for the moment...

Hi, Ive been having the same problem, have you had any luck in solving this?

Thanks

Have you tried an identical mesh on both sides? I usually "create part" in Design modeler, to ensure the mesh matches at the boundaries. But even when I don't it still works properly. You are sure you have the interface boundaries chosen properly in the tree? And you are using GGI interfaces?

Thanks for getting back to me,

Yeah I follow the same method however i haven't been able to simulate a heat transfer through the pipe. I select the heat transfer option and yet no luck.

do I only define heat transfer through interfaces?

Thanks
