intermittency plot

Hi,

I am having trouble plotting turbulence intermittency contours.
I am running an unsteady simulation with time-varying intermittency in the domain which I have specified.
In the output control in CFX-Pre there is no "turbulence intermittency" variable to select. However I have selected "Turbulence Eddy Dissipation", "Turbulence Eddy Frequency" and "Turbulence Kinetic Energy" in Trn Results tab.
In CFX-Post when I want to plot the contours, I can plot it for the end time only and when I select any other time it does not show anything in the contour plot. It is empty.

What do you all think might be the reason?

Thanks,
Ali

Looks like you have not included the intermittency variable in the results file, except the final one. Having a look, it does not appear intermittency is a variable you can add in selected variable transient results files. Puzzling.

In that case I would recommend just making your transient results file a "Standard" option (not selected variables). That should output all variables including intermittency.

If this does not work we might need to get into the CFX setup files to make the variable visible.

Thank you Glenn.

I will do it and will let you know if it solves the problem.

Thanks,
Ali
