What is the corresponding model for VOF ( in FLUENT) in ANSYS CFX, in CFX only there is a multi phase - check box for homogeneous.

That's right, the corresponding model is multiphase with homogeneous velocity fields.

Then don't select the homogeneous model - and you will be using a eularian-eularian model with interphase slip.
But I suspect I misunderstand you. Can you explain what the flow you are trying to model is? |

OK, flow of water in side channel spillway as shown in fig. water from reservoir in three side with high velocity enter a channel (called spatially varied flow) shown in fig. If the check box of homogeneous is unchecked this is eularian-eularian model??

Correct. Make sure you read the CFX documentation on these models so you know what the options mean.

I read some document about CFX, can you say more specific? did you agree with using homogeneous model and SST turbulent model? thanks.

The documentation explains the things to consider when deciding between homogeneous and non-homogeneous. The main thing is whether a single resolvable interface between air and water exists or whether there is significant small features (foam, bubbles, spray etc).
If you are going to do multiphase simulation in CFX I strongly recommend you spend the time to read ALL the multiphase section in all the CFX manuals. They have many recommendations for model implementation, meshing and many other factors. |
