Two-Way Fluid-Structure Interaction

Hello,
I am using two-way FSI and I work with Transient structural and CFX, My question is how can I transfer velocity data from transient structural to CFX? Because I think only displacements are transfered to CFX.
thank you

Why would you want to transfer the velocity? Which velocity? Does the solver work out the velocity by the difference in mesh displacements (if the mesh velocity is what you are talking about)

Well I have a plate that has vibrations in the fluid and when I couple The Transient Structural and CFX I think only mesh displacement transfer from Transient Structural to CFX and Forces transfer from CFX to Transient Structural, I want to have the effect of velocity of solid in fluid so how can I transfer it? Is it transfered automatically ?

Velocity is the time derivative of displacement. So when you transfer a time referenced displacement you are also transferring velocity (and acceleration too for that matter).

Hi
Thanks for your replying,
as you say the simulation is ok but why I cant see the vortex shedding in cfd post? Is it because of the size of mesh or time steps?

It could be the mesh, it could be the time steps. It could be many other things too. See FAQ: http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys..._inaccurate.3F
