tannk you for replying, i have read this link before you recommend to me,but i have tried some ways ,it's still useless,i simulated a pump working conditions wnich is starting period, rotating speed and mass flow are changing, the formula of rotating speed is y(t) = 12.039t^3 - 81.768t^2 + 188.72t,
CFX calculates six or seven steps will appear this error,How to solve it?thank you!

That really encourages me that you have read it and understood it. I (and some other experienced people on this forum) wrote that FAQ because the question really is frequently asked and almost always the approaches listed there are the correct ones to get it working. And almost always when people say "I tried it and nothing worked" it becomes obvious soon enough that they have not read it - or at least not understood it - and the solution to their problem was on the FAQ all along.

Now I will refer you to another FAQ: http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...ible_answer.3F

thank you for helping me,i have solved this problem,i changed time step from 0.001 to 0.0001,it's not appear error tip at present,i think mabe i used mesh motion,in a word, thank you enthusiasm to help!

The FAQ says:

Quote:
Does the model require small time steps to start? Some simulations require small time steps to start, but once going the time step can be increased.
That tries to say what you have done, but it might not be completely clear. Maybe I should re-word it to say more clearly that you should try smaller time steps.
