Appearance of Only One Domain After Meshing in ICEM CFD in CFX-Pre

Dear all. Hi. Hope are well. I wanted to ask I have made a double pipe heat exchanger in geometry then meshed successfully in ICEM CFD. When I connected it to CFX in workbench and tried to create a new domain it shows only one domain "Fluid". Why aren't two domains showing one inside cylinder/pipe and one outside cylinder/pipe when I made two cylinders in design modeler? Even when I created a new material body point "Fluid 2" only one domains appears in CFX-Pre. Would be grateful for help. Thanks.

This looks like a problem with setting your material points. Have a look at the volume mesh in ICEM as I bet it is all in one volume region.

Thanks Glenn. You are right. I have checked there is only one Hexahedra under Volumes in Model. The thing is the geometry is very simple and there are just two points that are there and show up. Both of them are at the extreme ends of the tube. What should I do in ICEM CFD to get two domains in CFX-Pre? Should I create two body parts Fluid 1 and Fluid 2 using Material Point method? Would be grateful. Thanks.

Yes, two material points in different regions will do it.

This is basic stuff in ICEM - I recommend you do the ICEM tutorials to see how the basics are done.

Thanks a lot Glenn. I have made two body parts using material point but still nothing changes. Should I create one blocking for inner pipe another one for outer pipe. Would be grateful for help. Thanks.

define two bodies, inner/outer pipe. just go for blocking of complete domain with inner body selected.
there will be two ogrids. you must add outer blocks into separate body (outer in this case)
right click on outer body > add to part > add outer blocks in it.
you're done.

Thanks attiquejavaid08. But thee are already two o grids in place. An outer o grid and an inner o grid. Also what do you mean by "define two bodies". There is already a body "FLUID". Do I delete this body FLUID? In that case I lose all geometry and mesh and blocking in FLUID. Do you mean I create a new ICEM CFD component in Workbench, define parts, then define two bodies (inner/outer) using material point or some other method. Then block the complete domain/geometry with inner body selected. Did you mean this? Would be grateful. Thanks.

key is, move blocks to their corresponding bodies.
nothing to change. just follow this onwards. you'll have two domains.

Thanks a lot. It worked attiquejavaid08. :)
