3D problem simplify to 2D ??

If i've asymmetric 3d airfoil, how i can use cfx to solve it in 2D plane instead of 3D in cfx

from the FAQ

Thanks for replying but that's not the answer of my questions. I mean that i've already the 3d symmetrical geometry but i want to simulate it in 2d cause it's symmetric . Is there anyway to extract the 2d plane from the 3d drawing or i must draw it again in 2d plan and do meshing again the plug it in cfx

Just because the geometry is symmetric does not mean that it can be reduced to a 2D simulation.

But to answer your question: You will have to go back to whatever solid modelling package you used to generate this and extract a 2D slice and remesh with this. Then you can do a 2D simulation as suggested by the FAQ linked by Lance.

Thank you for your kindely attention, i 'm using the balde design modeler to model my turbomachinery problem in 3d but to simplify the simulation i want to simulate it in 2d first at cfx,, the difficulty is blade design modeler procedure of flowpath and stage-fluid-zone which is essential for the design simulation isn't for 2d just 3d design and i did my design model in 3d so i asked my questions to extract the slice of 2d from the original 3d including both flowpath and stage-fluid-zone to using in icem then cfx

another question : Is there another way to model the stage-fluid-zone and flowpath in 2d plane for Turbomachinery stage stator+rotor+stator ??

CFX has no tools to extract 2D slices out of geometry. This is a geometry/pre-processing operation so you will need to find some solid modelling package to do it. I presume you will have to export from blade design modeller and import into something else (presumably design modeller).
