# Calculating RPM of a wind turbine

 March 26, 2016, 05:49 Calculating RPM of a wind turbine #1 New Member   Join Date: Mar 2016 Posts: 2 Rep Power: 0 Hey there, I need to calculate the RPM of a wind turbine for school and i don't know how to do it. The initial data i got are the velocity of the wind the mass of the rotor and the momentum which is applied from the bearings. And I should find out the maximum rpm. Can someone help me?

Just run the simulation with different RPMs and find out which one gives you the needed torque.
