Hello Friends,
I have a question regarding the possibility of applying flow mode decomposition techniques (e.g., Proper orthogonal decomposition(POD)) in CFX. I use CFX for studying incompressible flow mixing in T-junctions using LES turbulence model. I have recently read an article (http://www.sciencedirect.com/science...45793013003848) which uses this technique to find the dominant frequencies of an unsteady flow and the spatial modes associated with these frequencies. I am interested to know if this could be done in CFX. Also, a simplified explanation of what this technique is could be helpful. Thanks for the help in advance. Regards, Karthick |

I suspect you know more about these techniques than me, so I will not be able to help you much. Also the paper is behind a paywall so I cannot see what the technique actually is. If you describe the technique you wish to apply then we might be able to help you apply it.
