phase change from water to vapor due to the heat load of proton beam

i was wondering can cfx simulate the phase change due to the volumetric heat source inside the domain , and if yes , how should i define the material , i did a transient multiphase simualtion but i couldn't define the initial volume fraction of the vapor to zero therefor i get bad results , what should i do ?
thankyou

Why can't you define the initial volume fraction to be zero? That should be easy.

Yes, CFX can solve many phase change physics, but not all of them. I suspect it can do what you ask but without knowing the details I cannot be sure.
