Hi All,
I want to model the water flow over a circular plate placed at the mid depth and width in a rectangular channel. The top surface of the channel is open to amosphere. The purpose of the study is to demonstrate that the far wake generated by CFD simulation of the plate has similar characteristics to experimental data.
The parameters of the model are as under:

Domain: i. Rectangular channel [Length: 5m, width: 1.37m, depth: 0.3m] with top surface open to atmosphere.
ii. A free surface is required to be modelled at 0.3 m water depth, with 0.15m air modelled above.

Plate: Dia 0.1m, located at 2m from inlet at mid depth and width.

Fluids:
i. water: Incompressible fluid
ii. Air: Ideal Gas
Multiphase Control: Homogenous coupled free surface
Turbulence Model: SST
Inlet: Experimental values of velocities, experimentally derived k and ε.
Bottom and Two side Walls: No Slip Condition Smooth Wall
Outlet: Static pressure 0 Pa, Free surface height 0.3 m 0.0012 m
Top: Opening, Air, 0 Pa, Zero turbulence gradient.

I have implemented all the settings but i am facing a few problems in impleminting the following settings in CFX:

Question#(1). What should be the height of the geometry of my fluid domain? Should it be 0.3m (equal to the depth of water) or 0.3+0.15m (equal to depth of water plus the water column above the free surface)?

Question#(2): How to specify the free surface height at the outlet boundary with 0 Pa static pressure in CFX?
I have gone through CFX tutorial 9, Free surface flow over a bump, but am unable to correlate?

How to specify the free surface height at the outlet? other conditions are static pressure 0 Pa.
