hello
i want to rotate a simple 2D rotating disk with rigid body(only rigid body). (attached pic) fixed rpm about disk center at all time - move in straight line-transient. plz help if possible |

Does the disc just follow a known path, or is it deflected by the forces acting on it? Are you interested in start up transients or just steady state?
It appears you can model this using an inlet velocity which includes both the ambient fluid speed and the ring motion. This means the ring is stationary, and the rotation can be modelled by tangential wall velocity. This is MUCH easier than what you propose. |
