Hi,
I am trying to simulate a multi-component problem(No Reaction) through a passage using CFX. I used the 'Library Data' option in 'Materials' option to select the species. I am confused between 'Calorically Perfect Ideal Gases' and 'Gas phase Combustion' where different species are listed. I am not sure which one to use. I read the documentation but still confused. Both options use the ideal gas equation of state. My simulation involves the variation of temperature across the passage but no reaction. Please suggest some ideas based on my problem. |

Hi
What kind of Multi-component simulation you are doing? Recently I did Spray Simulations in IC Engines and used "Gas Phase Combustion" to model the fuel in gaseous form and got good results. I am also new to multi fluid simulations, so i myself dont have deep knowledge, just sharing my experience. Hope it gets you started. Do share your progress. Best Regards |
