Has anybody printed shaded contours, contours and/or colored vectors in true gray-scales using CFX-View and/or Visualize? If so, are you willing to share the hints?

Thanks,

Luis Rojas-Solorzano

(1). I just send the .eps plot files directly to the postscript laser printer on the network to get black-and-white print. It looks all right to me, (2). I use color printer 99.9% of the time. When the color printer is busy, I send it to laser printer to check the result. (3). On some post-processor programs, it is possible to set the contour level to gray scale. But on this one, I don't know whether it is possible or not.

I don't know if I really understand what you are asking. However, for a gray scale range in Visualise, do the following

1) Click on 'Edit Colourmap'

2) Select 'Saturation' and change it from being red to being white (use the right mouse button in the window)

3) Select 'brightness' then 'edit' and then 'ramp

I don't print the figures directly from my SGI-O2. I grab them with 'mediarecorder' and then send them to my PC. When I print the figures from my PC I obtain higher quality with a desk-jet printer than with a laser printer.

Hope this helps,

Gert-Jan
