Foam simulation

Hello.
Can anybody explain me how to simulate getting a foam by aerating the liquid? At the results I need to get the density, viscosity, and the size of bubbles.

CFX does not have a foam model. Read the CFX documentation on the multiphase models for the regimes where the CFX models are applicable.

What should I use to model foam?

Did you read my post?

I mean maybe you know smth else what I can use to model this.

I do not know of any CFD code which has a model for foam. But I have not looked either, so google is your friend.

OpenFOAM perhaps? (I'll get my coat...)

ghorrocks February 27, 2017 05:51

I trust it is a waterproof coat, nice try :)

(for the record: In OpenFOAM, the FOAM stands for Field Operation and Manipulation; and has nothing to do with multiphase flow foam whatsoever - see http://www.openfoam.com/documentatio...1.php#x3-20001)
