Hi all,
I have some problems calculating a simple flow through a porous domain. I've ran my simulation both with Fluent and CFX. While Fluent solved my problem without any circumstances, CFX showed me a floating point exception at the first timestep (with a default setup). When I activate the Local Timescale Factor and set it to 0.01, CFX runs too. however, the speed of convergence is massively slower... I found out that the higher I set the resistance in porous domain the smaller I have to set the timescale factor. Is it because of the high pressure gradient? A finer mesh didn't change anything... Does anyone have experiences in this or a clue? Thanks, Tim |
