fully developed flow in diffusor

Hi all, I have an academical question: Is there something like a fully developed flow in a diffusor? I mean the velocity profile changes all the way. What would be the definition of a fully developed flow in a diffusor? Cheers Fabian

Re: fully developed flow in diffusor

(1). The best definition I can think of is: the inlet condition to the diffuser is fully-developed flow condition. (2). This is very common, when you have long pipe attached to a diffuser inlet. (3). So, try to use "diffuser flow with fully developed inlet condition" next time. Diffuser flow is very sensitive to the inlet flow conditions. So, the inlet condition must be specified precisely first.
