I don't have experience with fleunt from a command line, but I'm quite sure you can do something similar. They should implement those features for the (very) old users that are use to that (backward capacbility). So, If I were you I would look it up in the help or search the fluent forum.
In CFX, you could write a file called run.bat, containing the following text where you want to study a pump at various speeds: cfx5solve -def caseN100.def cfx5solve -def caseN100_001.res -ccl N200.ccl -name CaseN200 cfx5solve -def caseN200_001.res -ccl N300.ccl -name CaseN300 cfx5solve -def caseN300_001.res -ccl N400.ccl -name CaseN400 ...... Where your ccl should look like: FLOW: DOMAIN: Rot DOMAIN MODELS: DOMAIN MOTION: Angular Velocity = 100 [rev min^-1] END END END END Alternatively you can add something for the head: FLOW: DOMAIN: Exit BOUNDARY: outlet BOUNDARY CONDITIONS: MASS AND MOMENTUM: Option = Average Static Pressure Relative Pressure = 60000 [Pa] END END END END END Or Solver settings, CEL expressions, or whatsoever. As long as you can write in CCL, the solver will change the settings in your definition file using a ccl-file like this. Make sure you save the parallel settings of your calculation in the def file before hand. |

That link refers to running CFX from the command line. You are using Fluent so it is not relevant to your case. Try the Fluent forum.

You can run Spaceclaim standalone. And for meshing, you can use ICEM-meshing ouside Workbench. The standard Workbench mesher cannot be ran outside Workbench. At least, not that I'm aware of.

Hello All,
Hope everyone is having a good day. I have been troubled by the following problem with Ansys RSM. The simulation that i upload to the RSM runs successfully but is sometimes not able to download the result backto my system from the staging folder. The run returns back with following error message. "Update failed due to an error while downloading results" After checking the Job monitor i could find the following message line, "Exception downloading file: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond ( host IP address)" Each simulation takes around 24 hrs to complete and i get the error message in the end of the run and the run cancels. Please let me know what possibly might be the problem and how i can resolve this. If any additional information is need please let me know. Thanks for your understanding. |
