Problems installing CFX on Sun Unix Platform
 
am encountering some problems installing cfx-5 on Sun Unix platform running Solaris 8. Msg error is as below. For some software, if XGL is not detected, it will revert to Open GL. Question is, is XGL a must or Open GL can do the job as well? Much appreciate it if i could have some help on this.

After installing the OpenGL, the cfx5 still got problems during the
: startup: fatal: libxgl.so.3: Open failed: No such file or directory.

Did you ask the installation team at CFX about that? they will be ablt to tell you whether the Solaris8 OS is supported and what you need for it to work...

yes, i did. Expert 3D Graphics card used no longer support XGL & CFX-5 platform specs did say that Solaris 7 & 8 is supported.
