Hi,

I try to run solver in cfx 4, but every time I run it, it it shows the following message in the browse output, and the dynamic plot wont shows up

-----------------------------------------------------

###> ERROR: UNRECOGNISED PHASE NAME PHASE NAMES DEFINED ARE: AIR WATER THE CFX-4 SOLVER HAS BEEN STOPPED BY SUBROUTINE PHNAME

------------------------------------------------------

I use PCP database. Did I miss something in the command file that causes this to show up?

Hi, Pandu

You should tell to the solve which fluid you want to flow. This is done in the

>>physical props
:>material database
:> fluid ...

Regards

prbably you are using a two phase model and that is not set well ... please check whether you want to set single phase flow (single phase for solver : where the properties for fluid be same) or it is two phase model then read how to use homogeaous models to solve this problem .. please write back what happened ..or send your command file to cfd@bhelrnd.co.in in ..i will see if i could be any help on this regard .. thanks
