Default Cooling conducting solid

Hi. I'm a user of CFX 4.2. I want to do some simulation dealing with cooling time of a conducting solid in the jet air. Using CFX I can introduce temperature or heat flux in the patch "CONDUCTIG BOUNDARY", but this one can not contact with fluid, while conducting solid is surrounded from all sides by fluid. My problem is that, I don't know how can I give initial temperature for whole volume of conducting solid, different from temperature of fluid. What does the option "SOLID TEMPERATURE" in >>SOLID HEAT TRANSFER PARAMETERS serve for? I would be obliged if you help me to overcome the difficulties and solve the problem?
