How to model R245fa in cfx using RGP file

Hello everyone

I want to model a CD nozzle using R245fa. is there anyone have RGP file for R245fa?

evcelica May 25, 2017 12:04

R245fa is in the NIST RefProp Library, so you should be able to make an RGP file for it with an RGP generator.
Do you have RefProp? If not, you should purchase it.

I can make an RGP file for you if you show me you have NIST RefProp, and provide me with:
1.) Table Size
2.) Min and Max Temperatures and Pressures
3.) Tell me where to upload, they are usually large ~100 MB

NT-----NP-----NSAT
500----500----500

TMIN-----TMAX-----PMIN-----PMAX
[DEG R]---[DEG R]---[PSIA]---[PSIA]
100-------520-------50-------375

No guarantees of course.
Erik

Hello Erik
many thanks for your warm response. Yes, I have REFPROP. do you have any RGP generator? May I have it? this is my email: "o.nematollahi@gmail.com"

You cannot email .exe files.
But I remembered where I got the generator: ANSYS customer portal, search "How to convert from NIST REFPROP to RGP file format"
You will have to copy the text from your fluids .fld, and paste it into "nitrogen.fld" to make it work for your fluid instead of nitrogen. Your component names will then be N2 and N2VAP, but will really be your fluid.

Dear Erik
I appreciate your great time. thank you for your response. could you please upload your RGP generator in google drive or dropbox or any other place? this is kind of you.

sincerely yours,

Sent you a PM with the link. You just have to have an ANSYS customer portal account, which is easy to do.

Here is the link to the RGP generator:
https://support.ansys.com/AnsysCusto...ns/CFX/2042746

Here is the link to create your customer portal account:
https://support.ansys.com/portal/sit...late.REGISTER/

You just need your ANSYS customer number, which you can get easily, and there are instructions on where to find it:
All Programs >> ANSYS 18.0 >> ANSYS Client Licensing >> Client ANSLIC ADMIN Utility;
Then click "View Status/Diagnostic Options", ans then "Display the Customer Number"

Dear Erik
could you help me do a tutorial how combine REFPROP with cfx?
my email is zhangguojie2015@hotmail.com thank very much!

1.) Download the rgp generator.
2.) Get NIST Refprop program.
3.) follow instructions on this thread and the instruction files which come from the rgp generator to create your rgp file.

lyfflynice July 22, 2018 03:22

Dear evcelica,
Can the RGP file define the liquid properties? Can you give me a format?

Please stop asking users for this software. evcelica has explained where to get it from.

If you do not have an ANSYS TECS contract so cannot access the site - well, this is why you purchase TECS, to get this sort of support.
