Simulation of flow through a Pump as turbine by Ansys CFX

Hello !

I need help from anyone familiar with CFX please !! I am trying to simulate the water flow through a Pump as Turbine (PAT) ! I have done my mesh though Ansys ICEM and tried to set all required data (domains, interfaces, and boundaries). But whenever I am trying to run the simulation, it directly drops with an error written as :" the ansys CFX partitioner exited with return code 1". Does anybody know why and how i can cope with this issue !! Any help will be highly appreciated !!

Thank you in advance.

Obviously the partitioner is not working.

Does your simulation work if you run it single processor?

I think this is what's written about the occurred error:

ERROR #555000001 has occurred in subroutine SRF_CORRECT.
Message:

An invalid pitch angle was found on side 1 of domain interface:

within vol interface three

+--------------------------------------------------------------------+
An error has occurred in cfx5solve:

The ANSYS CFX solver exited with return code 1. No results file
has been created.
+--------------------------------------------------------------------+

End of solution stage.

+--------------------------------------------------------------------+
For CFX runs launched from Workbench, the final locations of
directories and files generated may differ from those shown.

This run of the ANSYS CFX Solver has finished.

Have you read the error message? It tells you exactly what the problem is.

Tell your pitch angle

Hi,

It says that an invalid pitch angle was found on side 1 of domain interface "within vol interface three".

If you are not sure how to deal with this please tell what angle you have specified, thanks!

I generally don't get what's meant by "pitch angle", and I have checked through the settings i made, but I am not finding it !! Would you please like to guide me how to get to it if possible !
Thank you in advance
