Memory requirement for CFX

Hi all,
I know it sounds like hardware question, however it seems that Hardware requirement slightly depends on software, thus , i saw on internet two rules regarding memory requirement.

First one deals with elements number : 2.5 Gb per 1 per one million elements.
Second deals with cpu cores: min pf 4Gb per core.

2Gb per core will be less expensive for me, however if actually 4Gb per core is a must i have to take into in account.

Thank you for advice or feedback experience.

That is right, it depends on your model.

Why not do some benchmarks and see the difference for yourself? Do some test runs with different sizes and different numbers of cores and see where your simulation runs best.
