For CFX-5 you can use the Portland Group Compiler or g77.

Sorry, I do not know what's Porland Group compiler and g77. Are they some kinds of Fortran complier which can be used for CFX under Linux platform? Can you give me a more detailed explanation? What I only know about Porland is Porland C/C++.

Thank you very much.

Have a look in the doc - there's a link to a website about the Portland Group compiler (which i would've posted if i had the doc handy). It's in the installation guide under Hardware and Software Requirements for Linux. You'll have a hardcopy of this manual aswell since it comes with the CD.

g77 is the GNU fortran 77 compiler which comes standard with most Linux distribtuions. It may not be installed by default with some of the distributions.

The Portland Group Fortran 90 Compiler is a commercial compiler which can also be used (especially if you need f90 functionality) and is available directly from Portland Group:

Hi, if you look at the web of CFX for requirements for new version of CFX5, you will find, that for double precision jobs, portland compiler is needed. If it is going to be like with cfx4.4, you have to buy portland, as cfx is checking for it and it has some special portland compiler functions precompiled.
