Error detected by routine PSHDIR
I get this error (more error output below) for my case where I "edited mesh" (in CFX Pre) for four 2D mesh surfaces from my TurboGrid-generated gtm mesh; I "split" surfaces such that I may have no-slip wall on part of the surface and free-slip wall on the rest of the surface. I ran a similar case successfully today, but upon constructing this new case, I am failing. It is my belief and intention that the free-slip sections are continuous and that the no-slip sections are continuous.
I have no "monitor points". I am not sure how to interpret the "user_location" part of the error output (see below). I cannot decipher CFX's error message presently. Thank you for any help in diagnosing this. The additional error output is: CDRNAM = /FLOW/CONTROL/OUTPUT/MONITOR CRESLT = NONE Current Directory : /FLOW/PHYSICS/USER_LOCATIONS +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ | ERROR #001100279 has occurred in subroutine ErrAction. | | Message: | | Stopped in routine MEMERR | | | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------+ |
"MEMERR" hints memory problems. Please post the full error message / the complete out-file.
Maybe increasing memory will help ("-size-nr 1.2x -size-ni 1.2x" or something in that direction) |
Check you do not have user locations set.
It may be you created the user locations, but never activated the monitoring on such locations, i.e. monitor surfaces. If you do not want monitoring surfaces, delete the unused user locations. |
Thank you for the replies, Maxim and opaque.
Opaque, You are correct. I had created User Surfaces to help me locate my slip-to-noslip boundaries, but I did nothing else with those User Surfaces; apparently that makes CFX unhappy to have surfaces with no boundary condition, no interface, no monitor.... I deleted the User Surfaces, regenerated my def, and all is well. Thank you for your hlep. |
