plloting radial and axial velocity
 

hi anyone,

iam using CFX5.5. i want to plot (chart) an axial velocity profile at the center of the pipe an plot the radial velocity profile at specific point a long the axis. for example, the pipe lenght is x=2m and diameter is 1m how i can plot axial velocity vs x=2m at 0.5 m (center of the pipe) and plot radial vlocity vs radius at specific x=0.5m. Is there any procedure to do that? if you can tell me the procedure in detail.

Hi, To plot any chart, first you must create a polyline. To create a polyline you may take a look at the online manual or read some posts regarding this discussion which was already commented:

Estimado colega de uso del CFX-5.5, para crear un chart en el cfx post, debes editar un archivo con las coordenadas que quieras que siga la curva, en un archivo con extencion *.txt (Notepad, wordpad,etc). De la siguiente forma:

Velaxial.txt 8 0.5 0 0 0.8 0 0 1.0 0 0 1.2 0 0 1.4 0 0 1.6 0 0 1.8 0 0 2.0 0 0 Este es el archivo txt con 8 puntos de monitoreo a lo largo del eje axial (coordenadas espaciales (x y z)). Una vez creado el archivo, tu crearas una polyline en el post procesador con las siguientes caracteristicas: Method: From file Imput file: Velaxial.txt Apply

Se creara una linea sobre tu modelo. Ahora tu crearas tu chart de la siguiente forma:

New

name: New line

Locator: Polyline 1

X axis: X

Y axis: Velocity u

Apply

View chart De esta forma obtendras tu grafica. Para la velocidad radial haces lo mismo....

Que tal jose mara es dificil encontrar personas que hablen español por aqui en fin de casualidad sabes si existe un tutorial de gambit o alguna otra cosa para hacer un mallado de un alabe de turbina en 2D busco hacer un mallado exactamente como lo indica la siguiente imagen muchas gracias
