Help: gravity in CFX
Hi,
I am modeling fine powders flowing out of a hopper under gravity. I set the axis of the hopper along Z direction, which means that the gravity force is along Z direction. My results shows that the powders stay still inside the hopper, so this means no gravity acts on the powder. I can not find how to prescribe the gravity. Also, I find that the momentum equation in the Manual does not include a body force (gravity) term. Can you tell me how to include gravitational effect in the simulation? Thank you very much for your help. -Dejun |
Re: Help: gravity in CFX
Hi. You may set it under the keyword: "buoyance parameters", like 0 0 9.8. or use USRBF to set body forces.
