Dear all,
I want to check the foam bulk effect on the flow filed around rotor tip. The sketch is in the attachment: foam bulk is attached on the casing inner wall (full coverage) and it stays stationary while both rotor and hub rotates. I am wonder if I give a right setting on the interfaces between foam area and main channel. As showed in another picture in attachment, I define the interface as 'Frozen rotor' type and no operation is given on 'Rotational Offset' and 'Pitch Change'. Then in terms of Domain Motion of Foam area, 'Stationary' is selected and 'Rotating' with a fixed speed is for the Main Channel. Both Blade and Hub is set to be rotating and the new shroud (named 'wall1' in the schematic) is set to be wall with no velocity. The result is converge but I am not sure about my set since I am quite new to CFX and I feel a little dizzy about the frame of reference in CFX... I try some other settings and they all give me bad feedback. Would anyone give me an answer? |
