In order to be able to run CFX 5.4.1, it's indispensable to have a version of Fortran? Thanks a lot!

You only needs a FORTRAN compiler if you want to write your own subroutines for User CEL Functions or Junction Box Routines. All the other functionality is available without a compiler. Hope this helps.

What do you mean User CEL Functions and Junction Box Routines? Are these indispensable for a common cfd analysis? Thank you Michael!

You do not need a fortran compiler for CFX-5.4.1. If you decide to upgrade to CFX-5.5.1, which includes user defined fortran (CEL and junction boxes), then you will need a fortran compiler to use that feature. If you have no need for user fortran, then you still do not need a fortran compiler.

Neale.
