But how can I calculate the heat flux from radiantion on to a surface ?

(The variable from radiation has a stange unit.)

Any ideas ?

Jens,

Is the "strange unit" you mention kg/s^3 ? kg/s^3 and W/m^2 are exactly the same:

W = J/s = N m / s = kg m^2/s^2

thus, W/m^2 = kg/s^3
