CFX solver return code 255 on win10 server
 

Hey guys

Got a problem when i was doing a fluid sim today - I setup everything in CFX pre then go to the CFX solver, windows with error messages poped up as * below.

I guess it cause be incorrect parallel setting because the calculation was find in serial mode.

* The ANSYS CFX solver could not be started, or exited with return code 255; .No results file has been created.

* CFX_003 has terminated with errors. Run concluded at: "date"
No results are available

* Update failed for the solution component in CFX. The solver failed with a non-zero exit code of : 2


Any feedback will be appreciated

PS: the same task was run normally on my old computer @ e5 3470, but lately i upgrade to a E5 server with 20 core, 32GB ram to go faster, the setting and everything else were the same.

i suggest to you to
1-check the mesh
3-if the problem transient ,check the total time you entered
2- re setup the problem and save the project before running OR make a new project with the same parameters and settings
i face this problem when i make changes on the the setup and make run , this massage appear after a few iterations , but when i make a new project the problem is solved.

The problem was solved by redoing all the project from modeling, that was whole bunch of work but finally solve the problem.
