Hi, Is there anybody out there who knows how to scale a geometry (say, z direction) in CFX-Post.

Thanks, Mads

Hi Mads. Maybe using the transform command with scale as transforming method will help you. I suppose you are running CFX-5?

Best regards Jesper.

Hi Mads,

why do you want to scale up the geometry in post? If you want to see the effect of scaling on fluid flow i guess you need to scale up in build so that the fluid flow equitions will be solved for the scaled up geometry. Let me know.

For some presentations it could be nice to scale the results, ie. when the geometry is long compared to the width etc. I have at least also needed the same as Mads.

Well, as Jan states, my geometry is wery long compared to the width and height (50:1:2). Therefore it is difficult to post process it. In the old CFX-view it is easy to set scaling factors in all directions.

Yes I run the CFX-5-Post. Where do you find the transform command with scale. It's not in my user interface.....I can only see transform-> rotate, translate and mirror.

Best regards, Mads

Hi Mads,
I'm afraid that you still cannot do it in the 5.5.1 version of POST. The funny part is that the old and limited CFX-VIEW could do this kind of thing. Let's wait and hope that the new version of POST can bring this feature.
Be well, cfd guy
