setting a body force as a boundary condition

Dear all, I would like to specify a body force as a boundary condition (the thrust generated by a propeller). I could not find anything in the help files that made sense to me. I am using CFX 5.5.1, and the problem seems like one that would have been tackled in the past. I would very much appreciate any help on the matter. Thank you for your time, blair

Re: setting a body force as a boundary condition

Hi Blair,

A body force is not a boundary condition, it is a source term. To create a momentum source term you must first define a sub-domain over which to apply it. There is an excellent tech-tip dealing with this on the CFX community site. You can also find some examples in the doc.
