I'm working hydroturbine. I got below problem.

In CFX post i found streamline flow not taking a whirl around blades, though i mentioned as rotating for both blade and hub.
Even in animation, flow is straihjt from in;et to outlet without taking moving around blades.

i considered frozen rotor for blade and hub.

Can anyone help me and guide me

Thanks in Advance for you.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

Please find attached images files.

The model has rotor and fluid(static) domain. i considered frozen rotor method and interfaces considered as 1. rotor blade to rotor hub and 2. rotor blade and hub to static rotor and hub.

Please refer attached image error. i couldn't get idea how to proceed. Please help me.

Thanks and Regards

You appear to have missed the fundamental concept of rotating machinery CFD. The rotor needs to be a solid cut out of the fluid domain - you appear to have modelled the rotor as solids. You do not model the rotor as solids.

Please do the rotating machinery tutorial examples to see how you should model this sort of equipment. They are available on the ANSYS customer webpage.
