How to save Transient statistics in CFX Pre for getting Phase-averaged results

1 Attachment(s)
Hey Guys,

I am trying to save phase-averaged results for my simulation and I have tried to save the results by adding the desired timesteps in transient statistics(CFX-PRE) as shown in attached image.
But, in the post-processing, it is not showing any phase averaged results or folder.

Could you please help me with this?

Are you able to make a motor point for this, so you could visualize it vhile solving?
if you are, you can export plot variables directly from solver manager.
You can even change properties of arithmetic average in the solver manager if that helps

The transient statistics definition setup is confusing.

If the variables involved in the definitions overlap, you may get unexpected results.

The results for a transient statistics are presented as VariableListed.Trnavg for the Arithmetic Average. Say you selected Pressure and Temperature, the results file will have Pressure.Trnavg and Temperature.Trnavg.

The Start/End Iteration Lists are used to define the range in time for the calculation of the Arithmetic Average.

Thanks urosgrivc.

I am saving monitor points also. But, I want to save the different phases 0,15,30,.....360 degrees over few cycles according to time so that I can get phase averaged results.

And you mentioned about changing the properties of arithmetic average in solver manager, how to do that. Could you please tell me?

Thanx Opaque,

I am also getting unexpected results as you mentioned.
I have saved different phases according to timesteps or shall I use actual time in start and stop iteration list while setting up the transient statistics?
Is there any way to save arithmetic-average results over a cycle at different phase angles?

Your kind help will be highly appreciated.

Something like this
You can set arithmetic average in solver manager without even chosing it in pre.
you can make seperate monitors vith diferent averaging for your monitor points asweal so you can have multiple intervals of averaging etc..

first you right clic on the chart than multiple options are posible;

As mentioned there is also an option to export this charts in to the text file

Thanks, urosgrivc...................

I have to check whether it is solving my problem or not.

Hello,

Is there anyone, who can solve this problem???????????
