Hello,

This post is regarding understanding of the boundary conditions for automatic wall treatment in CFX.
Suppose, I have two different cases (say wall bounded flow)
Case 1. A simulation with Y+ = 1
Case 2. A simulation with Y+ = 30.
I wish to run the k-omega model with automatic wall treatment.

My Intuitive analysis.
For case 1.
At the wall. Boundary condition for velocity = No slip
k = 0
and Omega= 6*nu/Beta*y^2, here nu is kinematic viscosity.

For case 2.
Boundary values will be computed from law of the wall. Each parameters (k, omega) will now depend on the friction velocity. Are these expressions use to determine that:
k = uT^2/(beta)^0.5
omega = uT/ (beta)^0.5*kappa*y

Can somebody put light on these boundary conditions ?
thanks.
